AoS Spell lore enhancements

Just checking to see if I have this right, when picking enhancements, we have to pick either slann lore or skink lore as the first spell enhancement, right? If thats right, how does the interaction with Kroak work? If I pick the skink lore for my starpriest, Kroaks warscroll says he knows all the spells in the slann lore, so I don't have to take it as an enhancement, he just gets it?

every wizard gets 1 spell inherently from their Spell lore, this does not apply to allies. kroak just knows all of his spells automatically.
the spells as enhancements can be taken in addition if you have a battalion that grants a extra one but you don't want to do that
