7th Ed. Special edition LM dice

Did anyone manage to get any of these? They were a limited offer at GW stores where new models would get you two, and old models one. They're a cool semi see-through shade of green and the 1 is a lizardman symbol. I quite like them.

I have 4. I got two when I bought a stegadon ages ago, then just last week when I bought a Slann I asked the guy if there were any left, he dug around a bit and found the last two, to my pleasant surprise, I didn't expect any left. He was just going to give me one of them since the Slann is an old model, but then changed his mind and decided to give me both of them.

I plan to use them as lucky lizardmen dice for all cold blooded leadership tests. The maiden roll to break in the first two dice was a 4 and a 6, great on anything except leadership. I am saving the other two unrolled for their first battle.

Yes, I am a person who is strange with dice.

Awesome dice, I wish they did that here. What colours did you use on your scales, I think they would look awesome as gems.

The dice were not an Aussie exclusive. I can not remember the country (a Euro country), but the Aussie GW boys tacked on the end of that countries dice order and managed to get us a bunch to share around the country.

Yeah they are a bit bigger than GW red and black dice, maybe half the size again.

What colours did you use on your scales, I think they would look awesome as gems

It was actually quite a process... Dark Angels green first, then heavy highlight of Dark Angels green/snot green, then thinner highlight of snot green, then final highlight with rotting flesh and a very very small touch of dark green ink, and finally 2 thinned coats of dark green ink. It looks pretty cool, I can't wait until the model is finished.

Yeah I bought the army book, a box of Saurus Warriors and an Oldblood and got 8 dice in total. They are too nice to use though

But I think I will use them!

I've never heard of that promotion. Not that I have an official GW store closer than 300 miles, but had I know about that promotion and it had been available in the States, I would have called in a favor from one of the 3 people I know well working for GW these days. If GW turned around and offered a brick of those for sale from their website (I imagine it'd be an GW exclusive) I'd buy one. They are pretty neat looking.

Maybe I'll try and reproduce that glyph and have some custom dice made from Chessex. I'll have to ponder that idea.

I don't think it was limited the just GW stores because I got mine from my local hobby store, The Tin Soldier.

AH! Those are AWESOME! I've got to find some of them, maybe on Ebay? Those are some pretty sweet dice, though I don't think they offered them here in Texas because no one mentioned them ever, even when I bought my new stuff! MAN, those are cool!

I don't need these since i have my very own Lizard dice since ages ^^

They are white, the dots on them are either orange, green or red and the six is a dinosaur (t-rex, stegosaurus or brachiosaurus.

I like the gw lizard dice. but of the ones that i got i bought 30 for like 5 Euros. And it is much cooler to have the special symbols on sixes than on ones. you should be happy to see them. like every dinosaur that shows up is a poisoned hit, hooray.

maybe i would use the gw dice for Ld tests if i got some of them...

They were limited edition so at this point you would probably have to hope someone sells some on ebay or something.. You could try emailing GW mail order in other countries (UK or Aus) and see if they have any left, don't hold your breath though.

Nah, I'm doing one better and having some custom dice made from Chessex. I'm still sorting out the fiddly details like color and such, but here is the first mock-up they sent me.
