Have played this list against 3 different HE players and have won all 3 game soundly. Thought I would share.

Slann (Life)
Rumination
Becalming
Plaque of Tepok
Dispel Scroll
BSB – LD Banner

Tetto’eko

Scar-Vet
Great Weapon
Armor of Fortune

10 Skink Skirmishers
20 Skinks w/Command (Tetto’eko placed in this unit)
25 Saurus Warrior w/ Command
25 Saurus Warrior w/ Command

18 Temple Guard w/ Command

1 Salamander 3/handlers (snacks)

2 Salamanders 6/handlers (snacks)
I cannot emphasize enough how much damage Salamanders do to Elves, it was crazy; if I could take 3 units of 1 Salamander I would in a heartbeat.

1 Ancient Steg

In my latest game (yesterday) my opponents Pit of Shaded a unit of Saurus on turn 1 and killed all but 1 of them and the Scar-Vet that had joined the unit. The Scar Vet then moved into the TG unit and the last remaining Saurus Warrior ran and hid behind a Dwarf Brew House, where he denied victory points and had a pint for each of his 24 fallen comrades.

On my turn one I countered with a Dwellers Bellow to his 20 man unit of White Lions and its joined BSB. 11 White Lions and the BSB were pulled to their doom along with their resolve to stand their ground; they fled 11” though dangerous terrain and took another 3 wounds; they would eventually regain their will to fight on and return to the battle.

On turn 3 the A. Steg and the remaining unit of Saurus charged and hacked apart a unit of Phoenix Guard and proceeded to run them down, both the Steg and the Saurus unit overran more than 8” which impacted them right into the remaining 6 White Lions who were then Thunder Stomped into a large puddle of pasty elf flesh colored goo.

Both Salamander units were eventually killed but not before whittling down a unit of Sea Guard to 8 men and putting some hurt on a White Lion Chariot in CC. Skink Skirmishers eventually took out the White Lion Chariot in an epic hail of poisoned shots as a stand and fire reaction.

The Salamanders were the only units lost by me in this most recent game. And in the previous 2 games, if I remember correctly, were the only units lost along with some Skinks and a unit of Saurus.

Thanks for sharing the list, HE are a pain.

One quick question, why can't you run the salamanders as three separate units?

Can only have 2 duplicates Rare choices in a 2400 point game.

If only limited by points I would run 8 single Salamanders units in a 2400 point game!

Yea, you're totally right. I forgot about that rule of not taking multiples.

So it just turns out that I'm playing some High Elves Thursday. 3k; so I'm going to take your list, amend and add a lot.

I'll let you know how it goes.
