7th Ed. slann or EoTG

i was wondering which is better in a 2000 point army, a slann W a couple of disciplines or the more expensive Eotg W a few magic items I realy dont have any clue, its either one of these 2 or a carnosuar
b ut carnos are expensive (real money not point)

in 2000 I feel as though if you go one, its cost effective to go with the other as well. If you only use a slann, or only use an EOTG in 2000+, if your opponent has built his list effectivly he will be focusing on a certain aspect of a strategy. I feel if you want magic in 2000, you should either go full magic and try to control the magic phase (using both a slann, and an EOTG if not two), or choose to only have magic defense, in which case a few priests loaded with scrolls is in my eyes the most effective. Just my two cents, I would go with both.
