Army Total - 2017

This is intended as a 2000 point army so I am slightly over as is.

Any suggestions on what I can remove and whether you think this is an army capable of delivering a punch in battle?

Any comments are very welcome :)

First of all please don't post individual point costs on this site. I've made the necessary changes. As for the list it seems to be a great magic list, however it seems to lack a lot of hitting power. The temple guard are s5 at least, but against heavy armored units you may have a hard time, though the slann with lore of metal may be able to tackle that.

I myself recommend bumpinh the TG up to 16 as this will give you a +3 rank bonus,
also you have no hard hitters like he said, maybe some Cold ones are in order?

@ Craken - Sorry about the points in the post mate, didn't know that we shouldn't post them. I thought it would make it easier for whoever is looking at it to see what could be removed etc.

As regards the army composition, I will try and do the following (I might overshoot a little with the points).

I think I will remove a unit of saurus and a scar vet and instead fiels a unit of 5 CoR with a scar vet on a cold one. I will then add a unit of skink skirmishers for minimum core units.

As regards the TG, I was thinking of fielding them in a frontage of 6 (do you think it is effective) so 16 will still not give me another rank.

No worries, a lot of people are unaware of that rule at first (Its so we don't get sued)
CoR with a champ is one of my Favorite Units
The frontage of 6 helps against most foes, I like doing it as well, you lose your rank bonus but most of the time the extra 2 attacks is worth it.

Sounds like the list should do alright that way.

Hmmm... you might be right about getting sued there (note to self... must review notes on copyright law... exams in 2 weeks) ;)

Anyways, when I get a few minutes I'll try and change the army list and repost it.

thanks,

Personaly I think you should dump the Temple Guard.
Stick the Skink Priest on a EOTG (strength 4 no armour save on all enemy units within 2d6 yes please there's your punch for high armour guys also gives you a stonger Magic Phase)

If you can scrimp the Points give 1 saurus scarvet the Poison Frog making his grt weapon magical (help you vs forest spirits and ethereals) Give the other scarvet Burning Blade of Chotec makes Knights crap themselves and it is capable of killing a treeman and tombking in a round of combat.

Other then that good list :P

Thanks for the comments guys. I will try to come up with a couple of lists based on your suggestions and post them agains.

As always, comments are more than welcome.
