8th Ed. Skink priest help

So I won't lie. I like to run carnosaurs More than slann for two reasons. One: everyone runs a slann. Two: giant t-Rex is cooler than giant floating toad. Hah. Anyway,to the real question! If I rely solely on skinks for my magic phase, how should I roll it? Eotg? 1 or 2 skinks on foot? What have you all seen that works for not bringing a slann?

Help this poor old guy that thinks giant dinosaurs kick ass!

id say an engine level 2 along with a flying level 2 with a scroll. something i use pretty much all the time.
got the defense and decent enough amount of magic

I have run a slannless list a couple of times and found the engine skink and scroll to be enough, plus it helps keep your carny alive.
