I would like to know your opinion and experiences about skink chief and other "legacy units"
Are they 100 % legit in tournament or are they sometimes refused.
Do you think they have vocation to disappear, because they are not in battletomes and because their models are not sold anymore ?

Sorry for my approximative english and thanks for your answers !

I have not run into any issues playing with these units or other legacy units. (Dwarfs and High elf units are still quite common). Most tournaments will likely allow them as long as they have a points value in the general's handbook.

I agree there shouldn't be a problem the only thing is I don't think the legacy units count as seraphon for the purposes of army type which would affect you battleline choices.

I wonder. They all have the keyword Seraphon, but as legacy units in the Lizardmen army would they count? That's an interesting question.

Do the lizardmen units say seraphon? I didn't think they did. I'll have to look again.

You're right they do. So that makes even more of a question. Plus how would the hero units interact with battalions?

I do kow that the skink patrol cost 140 instead of 120 like the Shadowstrike because it is based on keywords. So your Engine of the gods could count as your skink priest for that battalion.

Just to further clarify the thing, in the FAQ it's explicitly said that you are free to use old battlescrolls (even ones that have been updated by the new battletome), 'til you inform your opponent of which version you're using!
So yeah, skink patrol is perfectly legal.

You can use the lizardmen units in a Seraphon allegiance. The FAQ specifically says it goes by keywords. So there is that!
