AoS Skink Archer conversion for AoS?

Just bought 60 old skink archers for 25 bucks on a knee jerk reaction. Ive read people are fine with them being played as skinks with bolt spitters.

However I would like to do a little work on them to get the closer to blowpipes + clubs.

Any suggestions?

I recommend finding the phrases “blow pipe” and “bolt spitter” on the Warscroll and doing this:

blow pipe ..... bow pipe
bolt spitter ...... bolt slinger

I don’t know what they were thinking in the copywriters guild at The Citadel. But blow pipes launch *darts; they are nowhere big enough to launch a **bolt. The whole business is daft from stem to stern.


*tiny, needle-like things at that.

**but scale the blowpipe up by 3x, equip a Kroxigor with it ....I think I have just stumbled on a concept for a new unit type.

The pragmatics of it are: there are two poses; both poses have arms and weapons molded to the body. But in different ways.

(BTW how many of each pose did you get?)

Two poses, you’ll need two solutions.

Do you have 60 clubs?
Perhaps gluing a club to their backs parallel to the (bolt) quiver?
Needed: a good way to convert spare sprue to clubs.

I do have a good bit of clubs left over from my warriors, gonna shorten them up a bit and glue them to the back. Only have about 40, so ill try and find some on ebay.
