I'm somewhat a rookie when it comes to playing.

When I assembled my Warriors i gave them all Spears, as I like how they look.

With the current rules for piling in, is there any point in taking Spears over clubs?


Especially now that the new rules give clubs -1 rend.

The general rule of thumb is if you want units of 20 or less take clubs. If you want units of 30 or more take spears. The extra rend does almost nothing to change this. Oddly enough the rend preforms proportionally better against units with a 4+, 5+ or 6+ save. At 3+ the clubs and spears are almost identical.
