AoS Saurus Guard/ Kroak and Archaon

Hi Everybody,

Quick rule question :
My Friend will play Archaon and I will play Kroak with 10 guards
What's happen if he target Kroak with his Sword "Slayer of king" and make the dice rolls to slain immediatly the model. Can I try to pass it to a guard or Kroak is just insta kill ?

I don't think so, as there are no actual wounds to pass off.

Morathi actually has a rule where she just maxes the 3 wounds she can take per turn instead of dying. Because of course she does
