AoS Saurus Guard as ablative armor for Kroak?

What are the opinions on using Saurus Guard as ablative armor for Lord Kroak? Is it worth the points over other models? Seems like a good trade off. Even five of them have the chance to stop 10 wounds to Kroak possibly keeping him on the board longer.

in the modern meta guard are mandatory for kroak. even with them you have to be carful.

Guards are vital, i bring at least 5 of them everytime i field a Slann, be it generic or Kroak himself.

and you can also build a good list around them, if you go all in.
