AoS Saurus assembly questions

So I have 2 seraphon collecting boxes and I understand that 1 alpha per foot saurus and mounted saurus is how it works. However, on the assembly page it shows saurus knight alpha with clubs in a unit with spears and on the assembly page for the warriors It seems to imply the alpha can go either way?

Looking for some clarification or maybe im just dumb and reading too much into it.

According to the warscroll he will be just the same as the rest of the unit only with the added attack ("With his Celestial Blade or Lance")

Myself I do not mind it that much. I made my Alphas with a club to make them stand out a little more in the unit.
Most people will not mind it and accept he is wielding a spear for in game purposes.

Only people sticking to the WYSIWYG will have a problem with it.
