KoW Salamanders in Vanguard?

While I don’t play full KoW, I do play Vanguard and did a fair amount of play testing prior to the release. I’m not very knowledgeable about KoW factions but didn’t notice any Salamander units. Did I just miss them?

Salamanders along all the Uncharted Empires armies are not on the Vanguard main book as they are not officially Mantic Armies.

That being said all of them are going to be released in a separate PDF to be released this week or the next.

Mantic allows players to use any miniatures they want on their kow armies. Including in official tournaments. That's why Mantic is the best miniature company in the world.
 
As a huge fan of Deadzone, you’ll hear no complaints from me! Hilariously, release of Kill Team caused huge local growth in Deadzone because it’s a much better ruleset. Sadly, no one here plays KoW.

Funny you should say that as Deadzone is completely different. Tournaments are usually Mantic only with exceptions.

KoW is amazing, hope you can get some folks playing. Where are you located ?
 
Texas. Literally no one plays despite having a pretty big gaming community. The local pathfinder and I have talked about it but I really don’t want to assemble a giant army to determine if I like the game of not. I did sign up for a KoW learning event at Adepticon though.

Man Texas has a HUGE KoW community and some of the world's biggest tournaments. I know Texas is actually FRIKING HUGE but you shouldn't have any problems finding an adversary.

Have you joined the Facebook Kings of War Fanatics group? Ask there for players in Texas you will be amazed.
 
Thanks for the info but most of the events are 8+ hours away. It’s basically us and Las Cruces. Anything else is more than 5 hours away. If there was local KoW, I’d know about it (also a member of the FB group). I really appreciate the info though.

Yeah it's quite hard for us Europeans to actually understand just how massive Texas is.

Well there is always Universal Battles.
