"I was told a release date early next year January February for the book by the rules writer/ developer.

Sorry I have no pictures of the Saurian Dinosaur but it was similar to a carnosaur but with allot of gold coloured glyph armour around its body creeping up onto its head with a sleeker more pointed snout than the carnosaur and larger fore limbs. "

"Oh and venus flytrap like plants that can move, I know it sounds lame and comical but the sketch was cool and i to the designers who described it and it sounded awesome."


"One of the guys (Steve Whitehead?) told me that the ethereal was an upgrade and an upgrade he was considering removing at that.

He lead me to believe that most of the monsters would come plain and have options to theme them more. His words were something like "you take a big lizard like the dreadsaur and if you want you can upgrade it to be lizardmen themed (one example) "


"Serpent Men of Kuresh or similar.

Dread Saurian an ethereal dinosaur"

And a Coatal.

And they are doing 3 dinos - Lizard monster as described then there were two pages currently called "dino 1" and "dino 2" which they were suggesting an armoured type (ankleosaurous type thing) and a giant flyer (though both still in concept)

I was at gamesday 2011 and got a chance to look through that book although everytime i tried getting a photo the guy hid the book (oh well) I did see a lizardmen monster in there and it seemed pretty cool the only things I could remember about it was that it coast 450pts. and it got 3d6 flaming impact hits. Oh and the artwork was awesome (not the on posted above thats a different model that didnt have rules yet)

When you say "I was told a release date early next year January February for the book by the rules writer/ developer." Does that mean that Lizardmen will be getting a new Army Book in the new year or that this Monstrous Arcana will be released in new year?

Pretty sure he is talking strictly aabout Forge World products.

from what i gathered from my conversation with him was that the release date was for the forgeworld monster book.
