8th Ed. Request: Lord kroak [tactics]

Hi there,

I'm new on L-O forum but I already saw a lot good posts and intresting tactics but:
I have a nice 2.000 points army and want to use Lord Kroak as good as possible because nomather what, he always does a lot of destruction (Since I play with the 6th edition and he still has ruination of cities).
I have seen in the 7th edition codex Lord Kroak shrenk in his power! and also is half the cost (H) .
I know that a stegadon or a group of TG always do well and also Saurus warriors and lots and lots of skinks work great in the army but still I don't think thats the best he can.

I think you could build a slann mage priest for a fraction of the cost to be far better. Also in a 2000 point game kroak is over the point allowance.

You can only spend 25% of your points on lords in any points bracket. So in a 2000 point game kroaks 600 points is 100 over the limit :/

Though yeah, he is bad ass and i'd love to try him out too

Idealy he gets played in larger games with a large unit of Temple guard with a champ and probaly a hero in there too.

There's also some issues now with his only spell. Its pretty badass, but because of the miscast rules he can't have irresistable force rolls. Not to mention he costs loads of points. Much easier to go for a regular Slann and tool him up for the job.

Yeah, the best tactic for all of our special characters is to leave them on the shelf.
