Indeed, that is one very powerful strategy more often than not forgotten, as it is such a tiny detail that can make a huge difference!Remember too that "1 drop" lists don't have to be one drop.
From what I understand (and someone please correct me if i'm wrong) you can place as much of the battalion as you want on any given drop.
So if you know the opponent has 5 drops, you could have 4 and really have the deployment advantage against your opponent. Not only would you get the first turn, but you don't have to worry as much about your opponent already knowing where everything in your army is deployed.
