My local GW is holding an event, i can bring 500pts of lizards vs a bunch of skaven... need Ideas pleas
 
By no means am I an authority on army lists but I'd suggest Jav& Shield skinks, with the Skavenpelt Banner.
and a block of Warriors for punch.
Skink Chief for your general or Priest if you can afford him, personally I'd keep him separate from the skinks so he can cast Blizzard (-1 to hit, -1 to Leadership) while your Frienzied skinks go nuts on the little rats.

Skink Priest w/ Plaque of Tepok
20 Skinks w/Full Command & Skavenpelt Banner
22 Saurus Warriors w/Full Command, Hand Weapons & Shields

total 499 points.

The priest will actually drop the saurus' leadership (IIRC you HAVE to use the general's LD), and you have to take a bsb to bring the Skavenpelt banner.
 
Hmm I'm pretty sure you actually don't HAVE to use the generals leadership... That would be rather silly if you did. Generally when there are several choices, you can pick the highest.

Its not many points to throw around, but I would probably lean toward the list with the salamander in it. They would be able to take a nice chunk out of most 500 point armies.

Baring dropping the ld of the unit. If the priest is in the unit, he can still cast hexes and buffs from within.
 
Wow, Vapor is right on this, I've looked at the rules, tryed to see if it had been FAQed, but it hasn't!

It's no big deal for most armies, since their characters tend to have higher LD than RnF troops anyways, but I can see this sucking for O&G and us.
 
It also makes casting LD reducing spells on the enemy general (or the unit he's with) pretty hillarious.
Fluffwise i believe that being led by an incompetent general can strike fear even in the hearts of the most hardened warriors.
 
Running Tenehenuian would be a clasic match up vs Skaven. :jimlad: :droid:
