hi gang, I'm taking stock of my army and wondering if I need more than one full unit of Salamanders (3 sallies and 9 handlers) going forward?
I have a bunch of everything else including 3 sallies and 9 handlers, just missing a Dread Saurian.
How does everyone feel about the number of sallies they'd need?

I'd personally try and avoid Salamander spam as they're really expensive points wise (due to everyone spamming them, lol!). But it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a second full unit just in case you ever wanted a list that leaned heavily on them, especially in Starborne.

2 full units is one third of your points.
It can be done, but this means that sallies are no more a strong support, but are going to be one of the main threat of your list, and you must build the rest to make them shine.

So:
Want sallies for support? one unit is enough.
want 2 full sallies? it's doable, but build the army around them.

As support role, it's still possible to have 2 units with "only" a couple of sallies each, probably in coalesced, to reduce the risk of battleshock.

Thanks team! Appreciate the feedback! I migbt be better pumping that money into a Dread Saurian or Chameleon Skinks
I suspected as much with the recent points changes, thank you for sharing thoughts!

Dread Saurian is expensive but definitely worth it ;) Chameleon Skinks are actually very fun to use, especially in Coalesced since they have their own teleport.
