I might be playing a 3000 point game this weekend where I can bring 500 points of allies (which are taken out of the respective point slots, so if I bring an ironblaster it is 170 points from my rare allotment).
My two armies are lizards and ogres. I have access to all ogre models.
So the thought experiment is this: if you could bring 500 points of ogres with your lizard army, what would you bring and why?
Would you try to shore up weaknesses in your own army, or would you choose to emphasize a strength?
To start discussion, my thought is that you bring allies to shore up a weakness. Lizards are great at shooting, but not so great in close combat. So you bring some stubborn maneaters with extra hand weapons and great weapons to act as shock troops while your skinks work on reducing and redirecting.
