This is a shameless copy of the old thread, but since we have a sparkling new edition: my guess is we can come up with something new. And odd. And 8th edition.

Let your creative juices flow,

The Hunted

When High Elf Spearmen are arranged as a horde, five high elves in a line can attack the name night goblin. That seems odd. And on the subject of High Elves, How does an archer with a shortsword get to attack a charging enemy knight before the knights lance hits home. That makes no sense at all.

One level 1 wizard can potentially have more magic dice to play with than 2 level 4 wizards on the opposing side.

Hunting packs use Skinks for armour. Why don't skinks have a save of their own then?

I'm not sure if this one's true, but you can hit a crew skink on a stegadon with a stonethrower, but if you do that the stegadon is untouched.

Cheers!

I think the hit by the stonethrower randomises the higher strength hit and everything else gets the hit with the lower strength one, but still highly amusing that the little skink sitting on top of the stegadon is enough to dramatically alter the flight of the stone so it barely glances the giant beast.

that 8:th edition are close to the current lord of the rings system

Hmm I think i play with the 7th edition rules until we get 8thed army book

i find the charging rules pretty odd; for instance:

in 7th edition, a dwarf could charge 6", a skink 12"
in 8th edition, a dwarf could charge an average of 10", a skink 13"

???

i'm sure i'll think of some better ones later :P

agree with walach its odd that dwarwes charge almost same as skinks and skinks move 2x faster
