8th Ed. Noob Lizard player, needs advice for a 1k tourny list

OK so, I have only been playing Lizardmen for about a week and I must confess they are so different to what im used to (Dwarf and Bretts).

So I have a small tourny coming up in 4wks time and I have decided to use the LM to hopefully get good with the army.

Here is the list, please C&C as I feel I could do with the help:

Skink priest - lvl2 (heavens)

Sca-vet - BSB, la

25 Saurus - FC

10 Skinks skirmishers - Jav+Shield
10 Skinks skirmishers - Jav+Shield
10 Skinks skirmishers - Jav+Shield

3 Terradon

2 Salamaders

Should be right on a 1000 points.

I like the list. If you can fit it in, you should take a dispel scroll on the priest. A shield for the Scar-vet would help too. When playing, I would put the priest in the saurus (or next to) unit.

I was thinking of dropping one of the sallies and using the points to get some magical items/weapons, maybe the Plaque of Tepok for the Priest and sword of shrieking for the scar-vet.

I think fear causing at 1k points can be game winning, in my local area the meta game seems to be low on BSB in low point games. So I think I have the advantage in that department to.

Whats your thoughts on the Plaque and a magic weapon added to the list.
