7th Ed. new to the game... 1000 points lizardmen

hi all,
I'm new to the forum and to warhammer fantasy (I have done Lotr for a few years).
I really like lizardmen ( I love those little aquatic skinks!!) and i was thinking of a list:

Skink Chief.............................55
Skink priest +dispel scroll, extra level............125
Skink priest +dispel scroll..............................95

10 skink skirmishers with blowpipes + scout....70
10 skink skirmishers with blowpipes + scout....70
10 skink skirmishers with javelin, shield..........60
10 skink skirmishers with javelin, shield..........60
4 terradons..................................................140
3 kroxigors..................................................174
5 charmeleon skinks.....................................75

grand total: 869

I want to gear up my skink chief a little with the rest of the points. Or maby swap him for a Scar- Vet.

Is this a legal army? Would it work? I'm totally new to warhammer and it's just a thought.

At the moment, Yes I believe that this army is legal. You do have over 100 points left to spend for a 1k game though, so here are some suggestions:

Skink Priets: Give the lvl 1 both dispel scrolls and give lvl 2 the Diadem of Power.

Skink Chief: Either give him the golden steg helmet to boost your leadership (with no saurus, it's either this or become a master at maneuver warfare) or go with the FSoD design (Cloak of Feathers, scout, and either an additional hand weapon or the sword of might and shield). Both are decent builds for an otherwise lacking hero.

Or, if you just go bare bones with what you have posted and no weapon or magic item additions, adding a fourth Krox might be worthwhile. Personally I'd rather make it easier for my heroes to stay alive, but to each their own.

With that extra points get a
Saurus Scar Veteran
W Light Armour and a Sheild
Or Give him a great weapon for those auto kills. Get rid of the Skink Cheif and grab maybe 2 dispell scrolls. For a game that is this low in points it is quite a mess to get your Wizard nearly useless.

the scar-vet would be good but it would break the theme to much. I love the skink chief model.

Well give your cheif abit more gear. Then I guess get more Skinks.
