8th Ed. New Lizard player looking for input. 2K all comers list

Hello, I'm a long time warhammer player and am looking at starting a lizards list and am wondering if this will work. Recommendations and feedback is most welcome.

I think that may be pretty close I don't have army builder with me right now, but this is the basic idea. A couple bigger units and some monsters. I'm debating the lore for the Slaan, I'm thinking either Light or Life.

Does anyone think this will work? Anything that I should change, or some ideas?

1st welcome to the woderful world of Lizrdmen.

2nd cant have Slann on magic Carpet. While he is an infantry model he is not "On Foot" so can not take. he can also not use Lore of Beast Transformation spell for same reason.

Doh! SandDiegoSurrealist beat me to it.....

You cannot take the carpet with the slann. That was ruled out by the lizardmen FAQ. Other than that, the list looks prettty solid. With the extra points, I would try to squeeze in another priest with the cube of darkness or a forbidden rod (to rule a poor magic phase).

Dang, there goes my plan of having a flying solo slaan. Thanks for the feedback, would love to have the cube, and maybe with those points would try and sneak it in.

Thanks for the info would not want to try and go to a tourney with that and make someone mad I cheated them.

You could always take lore of shadows and use stead of shadows to move the slann around. You could even use steed of shadows and the lore attribute to move, then teleport the slann. In that instance, you could take a character (infantry) like a skink priest or a scar-vet and cast the spell on them. Your oppenent decides to let that spell through, then you replace the infantry character with your slann and proceed to cast pit of shades (or some other shadow nastiness) at his line.

I was thinking about the lore of shadow, but am not sure how that works for the skrox unit. I may just have to accept that I have a slow slaan.

I have been debating between Light Life and Shadow for him. I know I don't want to use death, because I have been using that in my current list and I don't think people like facing it when I take all of their characters off the table.
