So my buddy who owns the local games shop got a store display book and some sprees from the new Lizardmen. Overall I think that they really didn't do much to help our cause.. :depressed:

The new Stegadon looks really great, but the book took stuff away from what make lizards awsome.. :D

For example they took our coldblooded away, so no three dice rolls... They made the salamanders terrible to shoot with. We now get to use an artilary dice with a flame templet.. LAME... :shamefullyembarrased: :depressed:

We get a ton of new characters, but who cares about that.. Anyways I will share some more stuff with you about later.
 
Wow. I don't know which book he was showing you. On page 41 of the new book under our special rules the first one is for..... cold blooded. Roll 3 dice and choose the 2 lowest for all leadership tests. Also on the page are rules for Aquatic and including Kroxigor in the 2nd ranks of Skink units. That is all my honor will allow me to divulge. :) Hope it was helpfull. We still have cold blooded!!!

Haha... my post sounded more angry than I really was. I mean... I wasn't angry or offended at all. I was just like, dangit.
 
All i can say is ... Wow. Whatever book he was reading to you, it was not the new LM book. I sat down and read it cover to cover this weekend, and I was very impressed. Let me correct you by saying LM retain their cold blooded rule and it works the same, salamanders are not terrible to shoot with, they are just different. They added a new rare that works basically like the old salamanders did, so you don't lose a thing. The new army book is awesome! Other than a couple nerfs, such as skinks not being able to scout, and Slann taking a slight decrease in power (but costing 1/3 the cost and having more options), the overall book is better than before and more streamlined. It's awesome. Don't believe your friend. Don't believe me. Withhold your quick opinions until you see them in action. I think you will love them.
 
is it true there is an option to make the slaan cause terror? I like the sound of that! I askso heard lord kroak now causes fear and is flammable.
 
I am hoping the new book is good. This is my first warhammer army and I hope the lizards do well. I heard lots of stuff is be revamped and many heroes are being added.

Yes, Kroak is flammable and I believe he causes Fear. One of the Slann's ability is to cause Terror, so if you put him with a Temple Guard unit, they should cause Terror AND with a Slann they're Immune to Psych. Cool, huh?

Plus, the new Salamanders rape because they can fire at different targets, I'll reread to make sure that's right tomorrow.

i believe kroak makes the unit unbreakable

and i do know that chax makes the temple guard unbreakable when he is in the unit
 
Kroak is Unbreakable to start with, so any unit he joins causes them to also be Unbreakable.
