7th Ed. Need help with 2K list

Hello All,
I'm new and was looking for a good all around army to start playing lizardmen and get a feel for the army until I'm ready to fine tune a list of my own. I've made a list from the GW article but was looking for more insight.

Thanks for the response! Here's the list. Keep in mind that I'm new to Fantasy and I'm trying to create a list so I can build an army and start playing to get a feel for it. This is basically a copy cat from GW's website.

Divine Plaque of Protection, General
- Saurus Scar Vet
Enchanted Sheild
- Skink Priest
Talisman of Protection, Lvl 2
- 20 Saurus Warriors w/command, spears & shields
Champion
- 27 Skinks w/command, Javelin and shield
Brave, includes 3 Kroxigor
- 10 Skink Skirmishers w/blowpipes
Brave
- 20 Temple Guard w/command, Halberd & shields
Revered Guardian
- 5 Cold One Cavalry w/command, spears and shields
Champion
- Stegadon w/giant bow
Skink crew w/javelins

Let me know what you think. I would like to see if someone can hit me with a list for someone starting out and not so much a tourny list.
