Good luck!
I don't know if a Slann can stand up to much in the WoC book in hand to hand, but your best bet might be something like:
Beast Magic
BSB (War Banner)
Higher State (Ethereal and Crumble)
Transcendent Healing (6+ Regen every magic Phase)
Fencers Blades (WS10 and +1 attack)
Other Tricksters Shard
That costs you 500 points, and you really want to roll Pann's and Savage Beast and get them off on your Slann on a regular basis (5 Attacks at S6 with T8 and a 4+ Ward for 5 wounds is a pretty nasty fighter... on average it will probably take 120 incoming attacks to kill him) And if you can get Wyssan's off that wouldn't hurt either.
I'm pretty sure WoC have access to magical attacks on their core units, to Higher State might be a waste of points (and dangerous due to crumbling). Also, if you're planning on sending your Slann into combat, making him the BSB is questionable.
I'd keep the Transcendent Healing bit, because you want to get as much healing opportunities as possible.
So, you could save a pretty penny by dropping the Higher State, BSB, and War Banner and maybe take some magic enhancing disciplines/items (harmonic+channeling staff, becalming...). This also makes the Slann less of a liability when he inevitably gets killed or run down (he's still a pretty big point sink though...)
If you are thinking about throwing the Slann into a character bus (don't do that!) you could try the Sword of Anti-Heros instead of the Fencers Blades, but I think WS10 will serve you better in the long run.
Another thing to try would be to take The Blade of Realities. You wouldn't even need the OTS (but you are banking on getting Savage Beasts off in order to be combat-ready at all.. you need lots of attacks!) This actually might be your best bet against WoC since they have lots of armor and ward saves. Again, I think you might miss the WS10 both offensively and defensively.
Also, you could take something like Metal or Life with your Slann if you can afford to run 1 or 2 Skinks with Beasts (I can't stress how important Savage Beasts is to your Slanns health!) You probably want to run at least 1 level 2 Priest just to guarantee that your Lv4 Beasts Slann gets the spells he needs.
And an Ancient Stegadon with the Engine of the Gods tuned to Beasts would be a nice to have.
Good luck.
