Hey everyone, I have an up coming campaign and it will be my first because im a bit new to all the rules and what not. I have been just messing around with the units and seeing what I like so far. Im pretty close to 2400, the main people I play against are gonna be ogres, wood elves, dwarves and warriors of chaos. The warriors of chaos player is the one im most worried about, he runs a pretty nasty list, he has 6 dragon ogres, 6 blood crushers, a flying lvl 4 dp with death, a 24 warrior block with halberds, a chariot, and some hounds. Im not really sure whats the best way to deal with this but heres what I have. If anyone can give me advice and whats best to run with what I have and what units I should pick up next. Im thinking about buying 2-3 more things before the time comes so any advice would be great!
Heres what I have,
24 skinks
30 saurus spears
slann
20 temple guard
1 stegadon
3 krox
5 cold one riders
6 chamo skinks
1 salamander
1 scar vet
2 skink priests
So far I havent really gotten any value out of my cold one riders, im probably not using them correctly. I play mostly off my anvil of 29 saurus with a vet in there. I run the temple guard 6 wide and 3 ranks deep. I feel both these units usually get their points worth. I need help a lot with my hero and lord choices besides my slann. I like being magic heavy, but im not sure whats the best way to combat this warriors of chaos list. The things I wanted to buy next was some more scar vets or old bloods, another steg, although im not sure thats a good option. Are terradons any good? I feel my skinks have been very useful, so maybe more of them would be a good idea? Thanks in advance for any advice for a newby!
