8th Ed. Need Good old blood

I am tierd of useing the regular old slann with cupped hands and have been trying to try away from that and use a old blood.

Ao far I hae found that the old blood cant over come a standard and 3 ranks.

Some one has suggested mounted him atop a carnosaur with the maiming shield and carnosaur pendent.

Any thoughts to boost him up into a killing michine?

I need him to fit into a 1800 pionts list.....

Try giving the item that makes him stubborn.
also if you are going after basic troops or war machines
gear him up for maximum attacks, ST 5 is probably strong enough.

I'm using a OB and Carnosaur for a while now and I'm really enjoying

Usually I play at 2k or 2.4k pts. my usual combo is OB, Armour of Destiny, Burning Blade of Chotec and Carno. It is a S5T5 3W 1+AS/4+WdSv combat beast.

At 2k I use a OB on Carno, Priest Lvl2 and Diadem, Saurus Scar Vet BSB, 30xSaurus, 2x10 Skink Skirmishers, 3x5 Chameleons, 2xStegs, 2s Sallies.


The trick is never send the OB alone...help with a Steg or some infantry block. The steg wll also divert attentions from cannons and such alike.
