7th Ed. My Army list (2250 pt value)

Hi everyone, I just joined the site and was wondering what everyone though about my army list. I've only played a few games to warhammer, so I'm still pretty new to it.

Before I post, as to what I was going for in the army I really don't know lol. I bought all my figures about 2 years ago and had no idea what i was doing. An just recently I was able to start playing warhammer for the first time.

The temple guard I know it is lacking in numbers, but I bought the old figures along time ago and I can't find any of those models unpainted or for sell at the moment. .I like the look of them better than the new ones.

I kinda want to have a all around good army but I'm open for anything.

First of all.. Get Focussed Rumination and drop either the Terror / Ethereal. Rumination gives one extra free power dice to use to cast which is godly. Second thing.. You can't have both Cupped Hands and Plague of Tepok since they both are Arcane items. You can't have two of the same "type" of items.

Also drop the Skink brave.. 1 extra BS is not worth the points. Alway be sure to take Musicians with your warriors..perhaps drop the Champions.. 1 extra attack ain't that special either. Take Spears with your other unit warriors as well. You can always to choose to use Hand Weapon&Shield at start of the combat. Maybe drop to 15 Warriors each.

Terradon and Kroxigors don't need the Upgrade to Champs as well.. Same story as the Skink/Saurus its just not worth it. That gives you another 30 points to spend on some more units. Having more gives you more options and looks more threatening

If you find some Temple Guards bring them to around 16.. that way you got 2 extra ranks.

In future battles try out some Cold One Riders.. you might like them.

Thanks for the help. I'll revise my army list when I get home tonight and rethink my strategy. I never knew I could only take 1 arcane item. That makes a big difference in what I will choose for his disciplines and items now.

Are CORs better than Terradons or Kroxis??

Also is that a good number of Chameleon skinks?

Terradon are way too useful.. Throwing rocks at some unit land behind them and throw some javelins..also holding/taking out war machines.

Kroxigors and CoR got the same job.. Get into some flank and get to the next one.

Difference is..

3 Krox for 165 pts with AS 4, 9 Attacks of Str 6 and 6 Movement
5 CoR for 175 pts with AS 2, 15 Attacks of Str 4 and 7 Movement

Ofcourse COR get a +1 Str in the first round of combat when they charge something.
I still didnt buy more Krox (€18,- way too much)so i don't use them but, if they get into a flank with a charge they get in hard. I always bring COR and i was never let down by them. I barely got a flank charge with them and they still "whoop-ass" simply by having high AS and sweet attacks.

If you can try them both out and see what you liked more. Since that is what counts in the end.

Don't know much about Chams I don't play that much vs shooting armies.. it seems a waste if you can't abuse the extra -1 when shot at. If you need points you can either drop them and pick up skink skirmishers or lower the amount of it.

In my last game my cor ran through...

8 skeleton horseman with liche
3 chariots
1 tomb prince with 16 skeletons

they did however have a scar-veteran, the only reason they died is because they got flanked, that was my first game with them, and i will Always use them.

BAAAM!! Go SCORs! I'm definitely going to pick some up now and try them out.

I appreciate everything ya'll have told me, I won't get to play this week unfortunately. Coming up next week I plan to play with my new list.
