8th Ed. multiple wounds

just wondering whether there are any common magic items that cause multiple wounds as I am going up against ogres tomorrow. I dont have acces to a carnosaur and i already know about the pirhana blade so can anyone tell me of any magic weapon apart from these???

I do not recall any. You're best bet is to take lots of skinks and shoot em up. Posion will eat them up. Other than that, Salamanders will do ok. They just will not cause a panic check unless an ogre dies.

I second the poison Their heaviest armor is a 5+ on their great weapon guys.

If you want a multi-wound weapon we have the Piranha blade or the ever expensive Blade of Realities.

For killing a character, Bane Head + Piranha blade is a particularly nasty combo, 1 wound can almost kill any of their characters, but only works against one of them.

I'd use Razordons instead of Salamanders. The slightly higher strength will help out a lot more and can hit many more times than a template on large base models.

If you do use salamanders, shoot w/ your skinks first (until one has 1 wound left), then drop the template, the template only does one wound and can't kill an ogre outright for the panic test w/o them being weakened first.
