So this is the list i have been trying out for the latest 4-5 games, pretty sattiesfied with it but where up against a very hard hitting speedy brett army last night and we started discussing after the game perhaps what would be some weak spots.
Thing is that this army and every army you base around a casting lord is leaving things to the randomness of dice rolling insteed of using movement phase as the primary one and winning the game there.
I am a former elf player mostly and of course it is about adapting your playstyle that counts.
Anyway what we started thinking about was to try a alternative way, not saying this list is bad, it is very very good and with the huge amount of core choices the scenarios that i hope will be coming is going to be alot easier for me (claiming several objectives etc, and might only be able to do that with core choices).
Anyway here is a alternative one, lemme know what you think about both, second one leaves less to the dices and more to the player imo.
Character
Oldblood: The blade of realities, light armour, shield, cold one 266
Scar-Vet: Blade of chotec, Enchanted shield, Cold one, light armour 145
Skink Priest: lvl 2 War drum, Plaque of tepok, Ancient Stegadon 435
Skink Priest: Lvl 2, 2 x scroll
Core
10 x Skink skirmishers 70
10 x Skink skirmishers 70
10 x Skink skirmishers 70
10 x Skinks 50
10 x Skinks 50
10 x Skinks 50
Special
6 x Cold one Cavalry: Std, muso, War banner 265
6 x Cold one Cavalry: Std muso, Huanchi's blessed totem 265
Stegadon 235
4 x Terradon Riders
Total: 2241
This leaves me with a few points to toss around to find some useful place for it.
A very different list, got several good deployment tactics and a pretty solid move on it, will be fast and hit hard. Enough magic to hurt some and to counter most.
