8th Ed. Me an friend vs. High Elves

hi. In a couple of weeks, I´l be playing against a friend with high elves (3000points) with another friend of mine (1500 each, he plays Dark elves. yes I know itsheresybut...).
it´s a rematch, and this time he is serious (or so he says after losing last game).
so i think I would like to post my list as it is at the moment and when I get it,the dark elf list. and try to listen to your advice.
I have little to no idea what kind of army the high elves will use.

I used an armybuilder on my Ipad and have to hope I remember %limit correctly.
All I know for certain about the dark elf army list is it will bring the magic to this fight.
the High elves player seems to favour large infantry blocks and needs to use many spearmen or seaguard to make a 3000 points army.

Is the dark elf playing bringing some strong magic to the table because in a 3k game a slann is awesome as a magic user.

Also the chameleon skink stalker IMHO is not worth it in the slightest, It would help slightly for in harassing but for warmaching killing you going for 6s anyway but the main reason is I simply forget to use it

With you saurus I make them two units of 20 if your able the proxy the spears as hand weapons etc since a unit of 25 is fine but a unit of 15 is largely on the too small side especially in a 3k game where I normally face a horde of 50 highelf spears

If you do take a slann I would go with life since having light won't make that much difference against ASF high elves.

About the advise I´ve been given:
The stalker is removed
It seems we´re playing this with sort of custom allies rules and running the armies sort of like one
army so he brings the general and I bring the BSB
Because of this I´m 100 points poorer and have removed the 15 strong saurus unit to pay for it. I am currently considering to up the other unit to x30 saurus, but I´m not convinced. Should I rather run it x20 and buy something for support, if so what?
I have some more skinks some terradons i never got glued up, some Cold ones(8?10?), some swarms, 3 old kroxigors in pieces and a stegadon.
I´m uncertain here, especially about the saurus maybe I should remove some skinks for additional points for saurus.
Huh, I turned this into some sort of rant. I hope i´m making sense.

I fight high elves all the time so first if he uses bolt throwers terradon's are the best thing to take those out. If he is heavy on shooting take 2 units of 10 skink skirmishers in front of 2 blocks of 20 saurus with spears. This will put your saurus behind hard cover and it is -1 to shoot at the skinks. also i think an oldblood would go a long way instead of the 2 scar vets. you only need 2 salamanders in my opinion and put them on the flanks that way you can get on the sides of units and hit more guys.

revised army list. sadly can´t get slann without changing the list more than i want.
still looking for advise on alternative magic items/weapons for scar vet, banner for BSB and equipment for skinks (blowpipes or javelins). Also, terradons, 2x3 or one bigger unit?
I am mostly satisfied with this list, but still accept advise. work and school is getting in the way for us and the battle will be held at the end of april-early may (long wait.) I will write a battle report for you unless I´m too humiliated.
