Hello fellow Lustrians!
With some time during the Christmas break on my hands, I managed to dust my Seraphon army and provided some love and attention (mostly with glue) to bring them back in shape. I do have a pile of shame of still to build models, which turn out to be 1 Start Collecting! Seraphon Box and 1 Christmas Battleforce (Starclaw Strikehost).
As I haven't been playing much since our new battletome arrived, I was hoping for some ideas and suggestions on how and what to build out of the two boxes, plus any glaring gaps I should be filling in order to realise current viable army lists (we mostly play 2k lists).
I would love to be able to field many of our army varieties: skink focused, saurus focused, saurus knight focused, Thunder Lizard / Dino heavy
My current (already built) list of models includes:
Based on this list, I am struggling to decide on what to build of out the boxes:
Start Collecting:
Battleforce:
Finally, if you had a moderate budget to spend to round out the army, which additional units would you go for? Some ideas I have are:
Thanks guys and a Happy New Year to everyone!

- Heroes
- Lord Kroak 320 Pts
- Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur 230 Pts
- Saurus Oldblood on Foot (Old Metal Version, often used as Sunblood) 110 Pts
- Scar-Veteran on Cold One #1 110 Pts
- Scar-Veteran on Cold One #2 110 Pts
- Saurus Eternity Warden 110 Pts
- Skink Starpriest 120 Pts
- Skink Priest #1 70 Pts
- Skink Priest #2 (build from Troglodon) 70 Pts
- Terradon Chief (old metal Tiktak'to) 70 Pts
- Engine of the Gods 260 Pts
- Battleline
- 25 Saurus Warriors with spears 180 Pts
- 11 Saurus Warriors with clubs: 90 Pts
- 20 Saurus Guard: 400 Pts
- 40 Skinks with blowpipes and dagger: 240 Pts
- 15 Skinks withjavelin and shield: 60 Pts
- 8 Saurus Knights with spears: 100 Pts
- Behemoth
- Stegadon with giant bow: 240 Pts
- Bastiladon #1 with laser: 220 Pts
- Bastiladon #2 with laser: 220 Pts
- Artillery
- 2 Salamanders: 220 Pts
- Other
- 3 Terradon Riders: 90 Pts
- 5 Chameleon Skinks: 90 Pts
- 3 Kroxigor: 140 Pts
- Realmshaper Engine
- Endless Spells
Based on this list, I am struggling to decide on what to build of out the boxes:
Start Collecting:
- Scar-Vet on Carnosaurus + 3rd Priest or a Troglodon?
- 10 Saurus Warriors: Spears or Clubs?
- 8 Saurus Knights: Spears or Swords?
Battleforce:
- Bastiladon #3: With Arc of Sotec or another Laser?
- Flying dinos (adding to the existing 3 Terradon): 3 Terradon and 3 Ripperdactyl? Or 6 Terradons? Any reason to go for 6 Ripperdactyls?
- 24 skinks (adding to the 55 existing): All of them with Blowpipes and dagger? Or rather blowpipes and shields? Or go for 60 skinks with blowpipes and 20 with javelins?
Finally, if you had a moderate budget to spend to round out the army, which additional units would you go for? Some ideas I have are:
- Slann in addition to Kroak
- Astrolith Bearer
- Skink Chief on Stegadon
- Additional Saurus warriors to be able to field 2 blocks of 40?
- Additional Skinks to be able to field 2 blocks of 40?
- Additional Saurus knights to be able to field 3 blocks of 10?
- Additional Salamanders
- Skink Starseer
- Stegadon with firethrower
- Razordons
- 3 additional Krox
- Sunblood
- Additional carno / Troglodon (depending on how I build the still available option from the SC box)
Thanks guys and a Happy New Year to everyone!
