Not sure what magic lore i should pick. What is the best lore against o&g? The 15 saurus warrios could act like a meat shield or some distraction i reckon

So, it seems like a fairly rounded army list. No dinosaurs at all? I don't know if you have any but Stegadons are arguably our best support unit for Saurus infantry, plus they have Terror and the more leadership test you can make your opponent take the better.

On the Magic Lore, take a look at the guide in the Tactica provided by @Scalenex https://www.lustria-online.com/threads/army-list-building-around-magic.14426/ as this covers it fully. You definitely want to choose the magic lore that will fit the tactics you are planning to use. None of the Lores are "bad", but they can be bad if they don't assist the tactics that you are planning to use.

That said, you should make sure you have a tactic in mind, then look at what the appropriate lore would be then adjust your army list.
 
Might dismiss a unit of kroxies and Cham skinks for a steggie?

Well take a look at how much core you have. You might want to drop that 15 man Saurus unit and make the single one a bit bigger.

I personally would DEFINITELY take the Steg and pair it with the TG/Slann Unit. I would tend to take the Chamo Skinks as you can deploy them last when you know where the Arachnarok Spider will be deployed and you can harass the mahrlect out of it. Who knows, you might get an opening behind it and be able to take potshots at it (or another worthy unit) for the entire game. Just remember you can't deploy within 12" or enemy troops, but you can deploy in his deployment zone if it fits! I love Chamo Skinks for this reason.

No problem on the help. I've had my fair share of advice and help from this forum and it's nice to give back.

Mostly buffing my units. This really helped me alot against WoC. But i'm going to edit my list a bit today. Going for high magic with the loremaster special rule
 
Yesterday, was a loss, but not with that many points. He didn't bring the big spider. But i was mostly destroyed by his shooting and my own miscast.

Doomdivers really destroyed alot of TGs (alot of 5s and 6s on the d6) and my own miscast killed 7.

Pluspoint one kroxigor killed his BSB and the number 6 spell of Lore of high magic, destroyed most of his black orcs.

Fanatics did do their job this time as well. Killing kroxies. His 4 spear chukkas killed kroxies as well.

Oh dear.

Did your Chamo Skinks kill any of the war machines?

For your level of point game, I don't know if he is allowed to bring 4 spear chukkas...

Can you briefly list what his army consisted of? I'm curious as it sounds a little illegal...
 
5 characters: 2 lvl 2s, a BSB, black orc Hero and black orc general.

4 spear chukkas, 2 doomdivers

2 units of 20 night goblin with fanatics

Unit black orcs

Unit big uns

10 Savage orcs
 
My battlescribe doesn't give and error when making his army
 
Sadly the Cham skinks couldn't deploy anywhere good. Had some bad luck with shots... 20 shots, not a single 6 when they got charged by the Savage orcs and the previous turn, 2 wounds with again 20 shots. Thé other unit chams where destroyed by his BSB on a boar.

I just checked the O&G army book. It's a special rule for Spear Chukkas that in a normal army you can have up to 4 and 6 in a grand army (3K or more in points). I forgot about this wrinkle, as normally you can only take two of the same type unless you are playing over 3K. So fair enough.

Did the Chamo Skinks do nothing to the artillery?

Ah. Okay. Then he was smart and placed his backfield correctly, meaning you had nowhere to go behind enemy lines?
 
Maybe next time dude, we drank alot as well... Not sure if i remember it turn by turn
