well. while the temptation of dinosaurs was high, the temptation of a dinosaur cavalry list was greater and whats more awesome than a carnosaur leading it i ask you?

the list is far from competitive and is intended for fun play at my local club and is oriented around saurus cav (if that isn't obvious)

the carnosaur will be joining the sacred totem saurus cav while the scar veteran joins one of the other units to provide 2 hard hitting cavalry units (or rather, slightly more hard hitting than the normal ones ;) ).

Looks like a fun list. One thing I would suggest though is putting a ward on the oldblood. The aura of quetzl is perfect as it offers a good protection against anything his usual save won't stop. You could also drop the shield for the enchante shild and lose the BSoQuetzl, saving you some points and giving the same save :)

alas do i realise that once posted, that the list is ilegal with too many characters. so here's an updated list with some tweaks made.

mostly its just more skinks and the suggested changes to the old blood :)

good list, just a couple suggestions:

(1) although the diadem of power is useful for magic defense, I think you might be better serve with two dispel scrolls. Its the really big, game changing spells that are going to ruin your day as your list revolves around several powerful cav. units, and 6 dispel dice wont guarentee that you can stop a Word of Pain or the like.

(2) why did you give your cav general a spawning of chotec? If he is in a unit, he can only pursue as far as the rest of the unit. That said, a great weapon may be more useful and allow you to throw in another useful item. For example, as your magic defense is rather low the mirror shield would be useful as magic missles and saurus cavalry dont mix well.

(3) If anything, I would suggest dropping the champions in the saurus units and adding a standard bearer. That way you wont have a champ challenge to decrease the overall CC effect, and the standard i would say is more useful than simply one more attack

the saurus scar veteran has the burning blade of chotec, not the blessed spawning ;)

but points taken i'll fiddle with the list a little more and see what i can manage :)
