7th Ed. Lizardmen vs TB and VC for 500 pt.

Hi!

Im new in WFB. We start play it with friends They play TB and VC so it wont be easy do win with them(i think ofc). We dont have any figures, this Army List should help me to decide what i should buy.

I have some question. Im not master of rulebook so please dont laugh. Do i need second Skink Priest, this "stand alone"? Or this one in Engine is enough. Because i think i need one to have rare and special unit.

This is Army List of TB

2x scorpions, Lich, X skieleton warriors, X skieleton archer.

Im worried cause this Scorpions. I dont know VCs Army List.

My AL will be good on this stinking undead?

Well first off, you need 2 core units and a hero. In your list you have a hero (engine), but you only have 1 core unit (18 skirmishers). You need a minimum of 10 skinks in a unit, so you can't split it into 2. I don't know why you have 2 skink champions as they are a unit upgrade. For an engine of the gods, you need a priest to man it. if you look in the lizardmen book under the priest in the army section, you'll see it is a mount for the priest. If you want to take an engine in a 500pts game, may i suggest turning your skirmishers into cohorts (ranked skinks). That way you can have a bit bigger force with some extra combat potential (though not by much). A list I would make is:

Skink Priest: EotG = 355pts
15 x Skink Cohorts: Musician, Standard = 89pts
10 x Skink Cohorts: Musician = 56pts

This way you have an extra 5 models as well as a decent (well, maybe mediocre) combat unit that has a static combat resolution of at least 3, maybe 4. Also, you have another cohort unit that can be used to redirect charges for your bigger unit or stegadon, or be used as a missile screen. Either way, you have an increased flexibility going with the cohorts rather than skirmishers. Your biggest drawback will be your lower leadership. With your highest Ld being 6, once you start losing, don't expect your skinks to stick around.
