7th Ed. Lizardmen Siege Strategies

Hey, We've started playing siege games. I'm curious as to what you all use for attacking or defending in these scenarios. Screens are pretty much useless, and once on the walls, Skinks seem useless. Whats you're thoughts?

I played a siege back a year or so for a remake of the Albion campaign (so I'm not sure if the rules are the same) and for attacking I was allowed to give each Krox a ladder since they counted as a rank-and-file unit instead of monsters by our ref's decision. So I armed myself with a JSoD and krox to storm the walls then blasted any armored men from the walls with sallies since they can unleash so much hell in one round.

A far as defending goes, I'd have to know how many points and what equipment you could take (boiling oil, rocks to throw, etc.)

I've never played a siege scenario, but it would seem, looking at Lizard cities, that Lizardmen don't really have any walls to defend so the army would have to be able to move through forests as well as water to navigate the jungle and defend their home.

I did a siege, and on the assaulting side, I found Skinks to be completely useless. Magic was useful for softening up the walls. FSODs, are very useful for picking off Artillery crews. Terradons were meh. Saurus in Siege Towers are definately the way to go. Use tons of Saurus and you're good. Salamanders firing on the walls are also very valuable.

With a ridiculously large battle and an obscene amount of points, you can't beat the ruination of cities. That spell is better than most war machines and ranged weapons. huge amounts of wall and units stationed on them can be smashed up nicely with one cast, creating a nice opening for saurus blocks to march on through.
