WD hint telling of the next release.
"Help from Azyr - Death from the stars - the Tidewall rises.

Tidewall is tau
Help from azyr is seraphon
Death from the stars is both.

Sounds like they are melting the two games together... Age of 40 sigmar...
 
My min concern is: are they faithful to the style or will lizards change into something anti-daemonic in their appearance..

I hope for but doubt the former.
 
They will definitely use new style elements but they won't release a whole new range of models.
I bet most of the plastic boxes will be compatible.
 
No doubt that is true... But de WILL see a new "glorious leader" type of character.
 
It would really be a shame if they drop the Slann.
But as far as I remember there is no AoS artwork/fluff text/photo of Slann aside that one short story with Kroak. :/
 
He's still in the warscrolls so I would guess that there will be a slann...
 
I think they will leave everything in warscrolls so we could use old models, but they will add new things and make them present in fluff.

Yeah, but the warscrolls are for Lizardmen. Respectively Whfb models.
There are characters in the warscroll compendiums that were even already in the End Times dead.

I hope for the Slann in the AoS setting. I really do not count on new models but a plastic Slann would be awesome. :)

This thread seems to fit so I'll post the WD news over the next week(s) here.
So, lets start:

Archibald_TK - Warseer:

Quick update from the WD in case it wasn't posted before (I didn't follow that thread and I see too much text to read on my screen for my own sanity):

- Repackaging, no new models. They didn't put a list with prices in the WD but I don't think there is a reason for any box to have a different price than usual (except maybe the Temple Guards? They are now 15 in the box, were there that much in the past?). Thing is, from the boxes pictures in the WD I am under the impression that some models haven't been repackaged (The Triceratops I don't remember seeing, the Skink Priest is also the only clampack shown, thought don't quote me on that one I just glanced at the page). There is also a big box that I didn't even notice before looking at the list at the end of the WD, I think it's a set of big monsters.

- A Battletome, cheaper than the previous ones (price of a regular old army book). Also available in limited edition.


There are 1000 LE books if I remember correctly. Speaking of memory, let's activate it so that I try to remember the boxes I've seen in the WD:
- The T-Rex
- The Bastiladon (hey I remember a LM monster name!)
- Skinks (24 models)
- Saurus (20 models)
- Surprisingly the Saurus Knights (8 models)
- Temple Guards (15 models)
- Skink Starpriest (Destiny has Wizards from the moon, AoS has priests from the stars!)

That's all I remember for now.

it would be nuts not to be able to use the warscrolls...

curious to see the starpriest. i guess carnosaur is the t-rex? :)
 
The Starpriest will be the Tetto'eko model I guess. Its summon spell is 'Summon Starseer'.
I bet it's just a generic character now.
 
The names in the summoning spells could be a good hint for new names for old models... There are some cases where the name of the unit is different from the name that is in the spell... I guess we will loose some of our named characters and get some nameless heroes...

The Thunderbeast Host sounds like an army box but more like a few big beast than core units to start an army.
