Has anyone heard any rumors about when the new book is coming out? Ours probably wont be for awhile since its relatively new.

Nope, I thought TK were coming next but now it seems O&G will get the first book of 8th ed. LM are a quite balanced and decent army so expect it to be a fair while, plus as you said we got one fairly recently anyway. I'd think at least 3 years.

Aren't high elves gonna be the next book?

Wood Elves, TK, and OK, are still using 6th edition books, Dwarfs are using a 6.5 book (written at the end on 6th with 7th in mind.) These guys need to come first, screw orcs, high elves, etc.

Our book is great, and looking to remain strong for quite some time.

High Elves were rumoured to be next since they are in the starter set, but it has now been all but confirmed by GW that they are getting a wave of models (plastic Phoenix Guard, White Lions, Dragon Princes and several metal blisters) but no new book. This is happening in October.

So I'm pretty sure Dark Eldar are scheduled for November (finally) it could well be that there isn't another army book this year, which is a bit soft. O&G are rumoured to be jan/feb next year.

I've also heard from my buddy whom surfs WarSeer quite often (it's a blocked site at my work). It's been pretty much confirmed that O&G is getting a new book plus it's also a strong rumor out that they will have a new spider model/mount which is gonna be something akin to the Chaos War Mamoth or the Mûmakil for LotR.

Next is suppose to be TK, then OK, then Brets...it's still to be seen. But I wouldn't expect Brets for another two yearsish.

I had heard that as well. At the same time, it was mentioned that each fantasy army would be getting a giant model like that spider. For beastmen it was supposed to be a ghorgon. For the goblins the spider. Maybe we could see a thunder lizard.

Well, according to wikipedia, this is when each army was released:

Beastmen-February 2010
Skaven-November 2009
Lizardmen-February 2009
Warriors of Chaos-November 2008
Dark Elves-August 2008
Daemons of Chaos-May 2008
Vampire Counts-March 2008
High Elves-November 2007
The Empire-January 2007
Orcs & Goblins-October 2006
Dwarfs-2005
Wood Elves-2005
Ogre Kingdoms-2005
Bretonnia-2004
Tomb Kings-2002

So considering there is 12/14 other armies that are older than lizardmen, I'd say its going to be a while.
