Chakax is way too expensive to use in a tournament. I would switch him for a scar-vet (or two for the points) kitted out to protect the slann (to absorb challenges if needed).

I would also drop the cold one cavalry. With those points I would get one additional salamander and some chameleons or Terradons to hunt warmachines.

Thank you for the help I will make changes and see what happens.

Agree on the chamo skinks for sure. They are fantastic.

I don't normally rely on too much challenge protection from my slann. Thread a while back stated - can't the slann just decline the challenge and move to the back of the unit.

Now you get two extra TG attacks and your testing on stubborn 9 LD rerollable leadership.

I tend to take the scar-vet to cushion against the forced acceptance of challenges from characters or items. If there is no one there that can force the slann into a challenge, then the attacks go all on the other unit for easy combat rez.

On another note, when you decline a challenge, your opponent gets to chose which character goes to the back.

But since champions can't be sent to the back if you don't have a scar vet the Slann is automatically choosen to be sent back I'd think.

With an autoaccept challenge i guess I would throw the champion on it, but that only saves you for a round.
