The tournament:
I'm going to my firt AoS tournament, which will be based upon the Azyr Comp rules, plus some specific home rules for each scenario (that will be explained when we'll play).
The interesting part, is that there will be a sort of story, and every game will develope further the story. We will be divided in two groups, not necessarily Order Vs Chaos, but Group A (with one goal) and Group B (that must stop Group A), but each army must be composed by single races, so you cannot field empire with dwarfs' cannons...
The other interesting part, is that our armies will develope as the story advances... at the beginning, they will be small, and as the importance of the mission increases, so the size of the army.
Basically, we must prepare a list with 20 points (max hero points 5), another one with 30 pts (max hero pts 8), and the last one with 40 pts (max hero pts 12).
The bigger lists, must be a development of the first one, so you can only add units, but you cannot remove units which were in the first list. And the general must remain the same (so, at 40 pts, you coud field Nagash / Lord Kroak / Karl Franz... but he won't be the general).
The last house rule, is that (basically) you cannot use formations. Or better, if you decide to use a formation, your army will be formed exclusively by units of that formation.
I think it's a little weird (some formations, such the skink patrol, is clearly a support to an army, and the bigger formations, cannot be fielded at 20 points), but I'll run with it.
