AoS List Building Help

Hi everyone! I have been collecting an army via 2nd-hand markets for months and now have ~1500 points. I'd like to make a list so I can play my first game but don't quite know how to build one to make a 1500 or 2,000 point list.

I have:
2 x Stegadon/Engine of the gods/Steg Chief
1 x Slann
1 x Starseer
1 x Starpriest
1 x Skink Priest (kitbashed)
1 x Astrolith bearer
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
30 x skinks with bolspitters & shield
10 x skinks with javelins & shield (3rd party models)
10 x warriors with clubs (mainly for engine of the gods)
5 x unpainted skinks (maybe for chameleon conversion?)

What more would you recommend for either a thunder lizard list (double use of summons), or fangs of sotek list (for faster chief/engine and summoning with slann/astrolith bearer)? Which one would make a viable 1500 pt list? Thank you for any advice in advance!

Ok first let's just address what you can have to take with thunderlizard Artifact wise. You must have fusil of Conflaguration so you would need to run another command entourage or another Warlord battallion in order to have both cloak of feathers and Amulet of Destiny

Oh that's helpful. I'm still learning the game so would this list be playing by the rules?

That looks a bit cleaned up much better you don't have many outliers and you stated you went with Warlord. Your list works just fine my friend.
