I have a feeling it is going to be really bad... but I'm still can't resist going out to watch it.
2) Why don't we just have packs of riderless Cold Ones that run around the filed terrorizing the other side? (is that what Rippers are supposed to be like? can we have Cold One packs that are that frightening, and maybe don't fly and cost less?)
Why the ---- don't we have a Mososaurus? There are rules for aquatic monsters already. Gimmie!
I have a feeling it is going to be really bad and I plan to resist going out to watch it.
A park full of dinosaurs, oh no the dinosaurs escaped and are eating people! But this time we have friendly well-trained raptors helping out and a fictional genetically engineered dinosaur.
So basically 75% rehashing the old Jurassic Park plot, 23% hackneyed lowest common denominator twists, 2% thinly veiled allegories to Sea World's controversies.
If people tell me it's watchable, I'll wait till it comes to my local playback theater (where they play "new" movies from 4-6 months ago at a steep discount).
I am really getting sick of disappointing remakes.
Also annoying was the huge level of product placement. Granted some of it was integrated into the universe, but gratuitous shots of the BMW logo, Coca Cola etc. just brought me out of the film.
Yerch, that's becoming an increasingly problem in all movies. I don't think there is a non-hamfisted way to do product placement, and every time I see it I want to not buy the product out of sheer principle. I can't be the only one. I keep thinking surely a marketing researcher will figure out it's worth ______ and people will decide to stop throwing money away at this...
Though, a realistic theme park would have corporate logos everywhere. Sometimes I dislike the 21st century.
Actually, I did like how they lampooned that during the movie. I won't spoil it for those who haven't seen it, but the subject did come up.
Companies do it because it is worth it for them to do so and I don't see that changing anytime soon.I keep thinking surely a marketing researcher will figure out it's worth ______ and people will decide to stop throwing money away at this...
Agreed... that's why it doesn't stand out that much for me.Though, a realistic theme park would have corporate logos everywhere.
Interesting.Also, this
I wish GW would do that for WHFB..."We know fan service! Remember how good the original film was? We're just as good as that one!".
