1250 Points

My partner is Empire tonight. Playing against High Elves and TK. Any thoughts on my list?

How'd you come up with your language? Seems pretty awesome.

I'm only concerned with your little block of 15 skinks. That's just enough points for a Salamander... But then again your Ancient Steg takes up too many points to allow one, so that's ok.

I used the Incan dictionary and just chose certain words and combined them. Hope it kind of makes sense.

The 15 cohorts is merely a place to put my skink priest so he doesn't have to worry about getting shot/magicked!

You can put him in the saurus block; he hangs off the side instead of being in the unit because of the different base size, but he is still infantry, and so gets a 2+ look out sir and cant be targeted by BS shooting.

I would recomend dropping the chameleons, swapping the ancient steg for a regular one and adding a salamander or two. vs High elves/TK, chameleon skinks aren't really that useful, and don't do anything that regular skinks or skink skirmishers can't do just as well for less points.

Not sure I agree with this,
First of all, what about war machines? HE are unlikely to bring bolt throwers but there is a good chance the TK player will have a casket or screaming catapults, these would do a lot of damage by the time regular skinks get across the board to deal with them, never mind if they get held up by other units.
Chamo's can scout in behind near them, should be shooting at them by turn 2 at the latest, much better

Secondly, high toughness monsters, any necrosphinx or the other sphinxes on the board? Difficult to wound at T8 and all skinks have to keep out of their charge arc otherwise they are dead. So poison is a must thus meaning only jav skinks can really regularly get shots at these monsters because the modifiers are often too much on a normal skink, chamos can regularly hang around pumping out 10 shots from five models at a cost less than the cost of 10 jav skinks

Thirdly chaff, with a twenty inch move range a HE eagle can just avoid normal skinks and block your main combat units or fly straight into your empire allies artillery line, least with chamos you can scout and definitely get 10 shots in (often enough to kill an eagle) if you have first turn

However against TK shooting, cover/skirmishers/chamos modifiers don't count so it is the same difficult to kill a chamo than a normal skink and at almost double the points per model it is more juicy to target them so that is a downside against TK
