8th Ed. hows tehenuain?

I was thinking of having him lead my 1k and 1.5k armies and was looking for some advice.

He is fun to play and has some interesting abilities. He is expensive though. The down side is he is a lvl 2 caster and only gets 2 spells. On the up side, in a large game, you can run a beast lore slann with him and almost guaruntee that you can get transformation of Kadon with him. But, good luck getting that spell off!

Not bad at that point level, at least you get to play with some of the beast spells, and hes a lot more surivivabe than an average skink priest.

5+ AS, 5+ ward. Swarm that gets d6 attacks (poisoned too I believe). He has poison attacks as well. +1 str on the charge. Hates all skaven.

I would like to run him with a few swarms for him to join. Just for fun.

Yeh, Tehenhauin comes with some interesting perks, but over all I don't really know of hes worth it.
Don't get me wrong I see find alot of uses for him, it just pisses me of that for the high prise you pay you only get two spells with him, and you need some spells to boost his T. Plus, if you could get the transformation spell (don't give a damn if he has to miscast to get it through) you will have a crazed monster rampaging across the battlefeild with unbreakable. Sound good?

Uhhh.... Default spell.... That you are GUARENTEED to get? It also adds Strength so yeah...

I know but if it was to be dispelled/ failed you would be in deep trouble. And only knowing one more spell it's not garanteed that it would be something that would boost him in combat. I say hes bit of a gamble, but if you pull it of, he's a mother fucker

Same could be said with trying to get off Kadon.
It could be dispelled/failed (and come on, it's not hard to get Wyssan's off) the differnce is with Kadon (just as an example) you will have, say, 6 dice gobbled up, not 2-3.

Though, you could also try to draw out their DD with other Priests. But, Wyssan's and Pan's would be an amazing combo.
