AoS How to deal with Nagash?

Hey guys,

Guy in my local meta is playing a few different death lists incorporating Nagash. Seems he is able to shrug off quite a bit of damage and is also a pretty sizeable offensive threat with stacking arcane missiles/spells etc.

It's been a real struggle to play against with my TL list. Any advice would be appreciated.

kill everything that isn't nagash and your good. he does not put out 1000 points worth of damage so if you kill the rest of the army you can just grind him down or ignore him and win on points.

OBR nagash is much much more dangerous then standard so keep that in mind.

Disagree here. SBGL Nagash has access to AOD, better spells and lots of stronger support hero options and a stronger army in general. SBGL Nagash armies are performing well in a ton of tournaments whereas OBR in general has only done well in one tournament worldwide in 3.0. SBGL is definitely a much stronger army overall.

Yep, but Nagash is still a massive points sink, he's overpriced for what he really does.
The truly scary thing of Nagash is probably Umbral Spellportal + Hand of Dust.

Agreed. I don't think he's bad by any means but I definitely don't think he's OP. It is hard for him to impact his points worth of cost against many armies. A lot of the targets he really would benefit from using Hand of Dust on are immune / nearly immune (Archaeon, Morathi, Gotrek, Mega Gargants) so it's only situationally good in certain matchups. I'm mainly trying to say he is better in SBGL because SBGL is such a strong army in general, and SBGL does just fine without him anyway.
