I have never faced DE, but I have faced the beastmen. The key with beastmen in my opinion is to own the magic phase. Do not let him cast anything. This should be relatively easy for you as the Lizardmen have such a strong magic game. The other thing to remember is to protect your flanks and your rear with something (I used a salamander on each flank and skinks on the rear). This is because those reserve units will come onto the board and you need to have something in place to deal with them.
The first time I faced beastmen I used a slann with lore of the beast in order to cower his ghorgon. This worked ok, but the real suprise was that the 10 skinks that double tapped the ghorgon with poison killed it (it was wounded already).
You should also take an Engine of the Gods. Run that thing into (or next to) his ungor unit and unleash the burning alignement. Also, do not forget to take the amulet of itzl (talisman). It gives you a 2+ ward save on the first wound which basically makes the priest have 3 wounds.
Terradon unit x3 at least plus a skink chief (with staff of lost suns) makes a unit of 4 terradons that can drop rocks on the low toughness (3-4) units and kill/break them. The skink cheif also will allow you to hunt casters or war machines.
I am sure that there are some tactics that I am leaving off...

im an avid beast and DE player, what problems are you having.
beastmen really shouldnt be a problem especially if running a tooled up slann. now playing agressive with an oldblood could be a bit more of a challenge. really the thing about the beastmen that many dont think about is they are a glass cannon. they high decent and high toughness models and alot of high strength, but lack armor pretty much everywhere except characters. centigors , chariots and minos with shields are the only decent armor save they have. personally if i was facing them, i would avoid minos and flank charge them, or bait them around with terradons and skinks to get them where i want them.
all the big monsters are expensive and no armor as well, skinks, skinks, and more skinks. Their magic phase is average at best.
also remember bloodgreed rule (aka mino, mino characters, ghorgon) can only pursue 1 d6. so keep it in mind that rule when baiting and re-positioning.

Well im asking for help not for certain reasons, just because ive never fought them before, also i found out im fighting Dark Elves, so beastmen are out of the picture. Help on the Druchii please?

I used to play dark elves pretty regularly, and I know they can be a pain, especially the new 7th edition version. One huge point to keep in mind is the sheer number of power dice that druchii sorceresses can toss around with thier power of darkness spell. Even with a free power dice on every spell, we're kinda hard up to match them. Be sure to keep a few dispel scrolls on tap. Pretty much every DE player loves the ring of hotek as well, so to combat this nasty item, besure to take the cupped hands of the old ones. Nothing makes you feel better than to cast a spell at a big expensive blackguard unit, only to find out you've miscast b/c of that infuriating ring, then realized you can just make one of his sorceresses bite it b/c you've got the cupped hands. Other than that, get into combat quickly to minimize the casualties you take from thier magic phase. Once in combat, our basic saurus can do well against most of the combat units the DE have, seeing as we get boatloads of S4 attacks.

i agree with everything said. if he is going to be cheesy then watch out for one or two hydras, trick to them is flaming, flaming, flaming. either fire lore or metal. salamanders are a must. scarvet with burning blade would be a good insurance policy.
if he uses lord on dragon with reverse ward save, that will be tough. i have yet to see someone kill the lord. the only successfull tactic that ive come up with against myself would be try to kill the dragon and break the lord on combat rez. ofcourse that depends on if he charges a unit or not. if he charges temple guard i would try to have a scarvet in the unit to combat the dragon, have the unit hit the rider cause of the lower str might get through. i would give the guardian biting blade and enchanted shield. its a low str with extra armor pentration. but its still tough to kill em.
always keep in mind assasins can be in any infantry unit. 4 attacks at ws 10 with hatred. base. not including posions and what not.
executioners are st6 w great weapons ad hatred, can have always strikes first banner, blackguard are pretty similiar to our temple guard with slann. stubborn, str5, immune to psych.

The ring of Hotek causes any caster to miscast if rolling any doubles (including IR) at a target or in itself with in 6 inches of the bearer.
a typcial build was either put it on a champion in a unit or give it to a pegasus mounted hero and have them fly close to enemy mages.

Just a heads up, the ring of hotek causes miscasts on any double within 12" of the bearer, not 6. Thats either a spell targetted within 12 or the caster attempting the spell within 12. Second thing, the executioners do end up with the always strike first banner alot, but they can't take it on thier standard bearer. The execs can only have a 25pt banner, the ASF banneris 35. The common thing to do is give thebanner of hag graef to a death hag BSB (bc a normal master bsb can't join khanite units) and stick her in there. The problem with this (that few people pause to think about before whining about how overpowered the executioner "deathstar" is) while a death hag can make all those executioners go first with a str 6 GW attack, she is just an unarmored T3 modelwith 2 wounds. Not a big problem to take out, even for normal saurus. Sure you may loose a few guys, but killing a BSB with a magic banner is a good amount ofpoints you'll have just picked up, on top of the fact the executioners nolonger strike first. Black guard are the ones to look out for, as they reroll every missed to hit, have WS5, 2 str 4 attacks and are stubborn on a LD9. Also, they have a 50pt magic banner limit, so they CAN take the ASF banner with thier normal standard.

Really? I've seen and played against both an executioner deathstar (28 execs, a BSB hag with the ASF banner backed up by a cauldron of blood and a master with the ring of hotek) and a blackguard deathstar (20 with the ASF banner, a master BSB with the +1 attack banner, a master with the ring of hotek, and a dreadlord with the executioner's axe) but i've never come across a shade deathstar. I'd be interested to know, how do they work? Seems theyi wouldn't be as effective without the few points of rank bonus or the standard bearer.
