8th Ed. Hordes of Skinks

Are making huge hordes of skinks worth it. Their only like 200 pts for 40 or 150m for 30 and with life you could buff them up and revive them etc....

Should i even bother having them without kroxs?

To be honest I doubt it,
Good tarpit unit, but no real killyness,
Should be steadfast all game though,
The krox don't add that much to the points cost,
I mean your unit of 40 is 200 points.
Swop 12 skinks for 3 krox.
S 300 points, but the unit is far stronger,
A main combat unit rather than a tarpit

I have run a skrox horde over a couple of games. I did not like the 10 wide unit (most everything that you face-unless it is another horde unit will not have that frontage). Keep the unit at 8 wide to use the 3 krox in the second rank. You will still be steadfast. Up the toughness with throne of vines + flesh to stone for toughness 6 skinks and toughness 8 krox.

That would be interesting.
