Hi, first post..

Ok, Ive had a long and (pretty bad) history with games workshop. I first became a fan, beloved fan of lizardmen at the tender age of 9. that was my downfall! I had no intention of gaming with them, just badly making them and playing with them. the world of lustria is what captured my imagination but sadly as young boys do, move on and eventually with LOTR coming along, i ventured onwards. (sigh)

Anyway, tonight I am writing to you a new man. I recently stumbled accross the new codex, and the new army list, and fell in love once more, Im starting my army from scratch and was wondering where to go first, ect ect.

Buy the batallion as I did. Its the cheapest and most efficient way to start!

Greetings, welcome to the board!

The batallion is indeed a good place to start, you can easily convert one of the cold ones or TG into scar vets and have a small ready made army to play around with. Read the army book thoroughly, check some of the other army lists people have posted and try to get an idea of what style army you would like to play. There are some good threads in the Index at the top of the Tactics forum for you to check out as well.
