8th Ed. Help Turning 1600 into 2000 pts

So, I have been playing with some friends with lists of about 1500 - 1600 points, but we have decided to move to a 2000 pts list. Let me share with you my 1600 list and then some of my thoughts about making it bigger.


HEROS

Scar Vet
Fencer's Blades, Dragon Helm, Luckstone and light armour

Skink Priest
Lvl 2 - Beasts
Dispell Scroll, Ruby Ring of Ruin

24 Saurus Warriors

And that is what I've been playing and getting to know over the past months. Now, when I think of expanding this list some things come to my mind: Should I get a Slann in there? Will that force me to get some Temple Guards? Thepoints that these unit bring in the list will force me to change it drastically? Should I start a list from scratch? is a 2000 points list cometitive without a Slann? Why not making the general an OldBlood? MAny mounted on a Carnosaur? Will this make my oponent's magic overwhelming? Do I ask myself too many questions about this?

Please Lustrian friends, help me with this thought, what would YOU do?

Personally I would simply spend the remaining 400 points on a slann (providing you have enough core)

I'd find some points for a magic banner on your TG. They are our only unit that can have one, so make the most of it!
I've been running the jaguar one recently, it's been good to ensure the charge, but I also like the razor standard to add extra chomp

Agreed. I am glad to see that you added a Slann and some Temple Guard. I love the Lizardmen fluff about the Slann/Temple Guard combination and it should make a potent addition to your army.
